Microsoft unveiled its latest operating system, Windows 11. This version of Windows brings a completely new UI, a centered taskbar, redesigned Start Menu, Explorer, App store, Android app support, and more.
To determine if your current PC will be able to run Windows 11, you can check out this list of system specifications on Microsoft's website, or use its PC Health Check app. Unfortunately Microsoft removed temporarily this key tool people were using to see if they could update. This is where my replacement ReadySunValley app comes in.
However, if your computer is a year or two old, has the fundamentals of >1GHz, 2-core processors, 4GB memory, and 64GB of storage, it’ll probably be fine. Older computers are less likely to work with Windows 11.
The ReadySunValley app will help you to check if your current Windows 10 PC could upgrade to Windows 11.
ReadySunValley will also generate a detailed report why your PC isn't supported
Next to this it also features options for
- Bypassing TPM/Secure Boot and RAM restrictions
- Comparing your results with Microsoft requirements
- Grabbing a screenshot to directly share your results on social media
Just head over to the Github page and download the ReadySunValley app on your existing Windows 10 PC.
