Cleanmgr+ is free snakeoil?

Hi,
what does it do on my Windows 10 Pro x64???
- my harddrive before cleaning: 20 GB free
- cleanmgr+ will free additional 31 GB ... wow! :-)
- my harddrive after cleaning: 20 GB free :-(

The hole folder "Windows.old" is not touched by cleanmgr+ ! But 15 MB of thumbnails are deleted, very effective job

I have to go back to the outdatet Windows Tool as long as it works - so I don't understand how to use cleanmgr+ and why not deleting the old WIndows Installation. It's GUI is tricky and irritating for me old school power user. Maybe modern. But very ununsable and laborious.

I will invest some more time on GUI Improvement in upcoming versions.

Regarding the Windows.old folder: Did you run the optional script "Windows.old" in "+more" tab. Of course these actions should be run with elevated rights.

Great, I think...

There isn't much that would please privacy advocates more than to hobble Microsoft's shameless invasion of user's privacy.
I hope this is it, or at least a start. No offense, but how does one verify that MS is actually not getting most of the "phone home" communications? Please dumb it down, I do my best to keep up but...
As an aside- CCleaner is calling Debotnet malicious software and adding Debotnet.exe to the CCleaner "Exclude File" function does not allow it to run. The odd part is it ran last night but not this am (17/03/2020)

Didn't know that CCleaner has an AV engine onboard? Are you sure that CCleaner is flagging Debotnet?
Currenlty it's the Bitdefender engine and it's a FALSE POSITIVE.
Debotnet will be included in the signatures with a time delay and everything should be clean again tomorrow at the very latest

Danke für die genialen tools. CloneApp kenne ich schon länger und Debotnet ist einfach genial.
Genauso baut man Windows tools, wie auch schon Chip.de im Fazit angemerkt hat :grin

The Debotnet tool is brilliantly implemented. New website is great as well
